Who Can Be Rival of FC Karabakh in Group Stage of Champions League?
Baku / 24.08.17 / Turan: Today in Monaco at 20.00 Baku time will be the draw for the group stage of the Champions League, as a result of which three rivals of FC Karabakh will be known.
Thirty-two teams are divided into four baskets. The first includes champions of eight countries with the highest ratings: FC Real Madrid, FC Bayern, FC Chelsea, FC Juventus, FC Benfica, FC Monaco, FC Spartak Moscow and FC Shakhtar Donetsk.
In the second basket, there are clubs with high ratings, who have not become champions in their countries: FC Barcelona, FC Atletico Madrid, FC Paris Saint Germain, FC Borussia Dortmund, FC Sevilla, FC Manchester City, FC Porto and FC Manchester United.
In the third basket there are less strong clubs: FC Napoli, FC Tottenham, FC Basel, FC Olympiakos, FC Anderlecht, FC Roma, FC Besiktas and FC Liverpool.
Finally, in the last fourth basket along with FC Karabakh, there are FC Celtic, FC Apoel Cyprus, FC Sporting Lisbon, FC CSKA Moscow, FC Feyenoord, FC Maribor Slovenia and FC Leipzig.
The opponents of FC Karabakh will be one team each from the first three baskets. In the group stage of the Champions League there are no weak opponents, nevertheless the teams most desirable for FC Karabakh from Group 1 can be FC Spartak, FC Shakhtar or FC Monaco.
From the second basket the most convenient ones are FC Porto or FC Sevilla.
From the third basket, they are FC Basel, FC Olympiakos, FC Besiktas or FC Anderlecht, which FC Karabakh has already beaten once.
However, from the standpoint of a big football festival, it would be certainly nice to see the European top teams - FC Real, FC Barcelona, FC Bavaria, FC Juventus, FC Chelsea, FC Manchester United, etc. in Baku. -06D--
