The publication Eurosport published an article stating that the fee of the famous American singer Lady Gaga for her 10-minute performance at the opening ceremony of the European Games in Baku amounted to 2 million US dollars.
The fee for one song, Imagine, contrasted greatly with the fee of Paul McCartney, who performed at the opening of the Olympics in London for a notional amount of 1 GBP.
Was it worth arranging the performance for such money? Eurosport asking this question added that Lady Gaga was "hiding" in the hotel room for a few days, so that nobody could see her and to make her appearance at the ceremony a surprise. -02D-

The timing of this exhibition is no coincidence, aligning with the upcoming COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. The exhibition seeks to engage audiences on pressing ecological issues, blending local and international perspectives.
