Selected projects in the competition "Architecture of the Apsheron village"
Baku/11.01.21/Turan: The Main Department of Architecture and Urban Development of the city of Baku announced the winners of the first stage of the competition "Architecture of the Absheron Village".
At the current stage, the best architectural solutions have been selected for three villages: Ramana, Pirshagi and Amirjan.
The competition is held by the Union of Architects of Azerbaijan and Baku Landscape Service LLC on the initiative of the Main Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Baku. 53 projects with a total prize fund of 60 thousand manats were submitted for the competition.
The winning project for the Amirjan settlement takes into account the existing infrastructure problems and proposes their solution. The project is based on the history of the village, the development of traditional local architecture and its combination with the environment.
Along with the facade solutions of existing buildings, it is proposed to increase the attractiveness of the village for tourists by improving the corresponding infrastructure.
The winning project for Pirshagi offers a solution to the lack of public space and the creation of pedestrian and bicycle lanes for road construction.
The winning project of the Ramana settlement is focused on the area near the medieval castle, emphasizing the history of the settlement, and involves the restoration of non-residential premises, taking into account the traditional way of life.
By the decision of the jury, the authors of the four best projects for each village will be awarded cash prizes.
For 1st place - 10,000 manats, for 2nd - 5,000 manats, for 3rd place (two) 2,500 manats.

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
