Media development is a systemic issue
Baku/21.04.21/Turan: To ensure the development of media in Azerbaijan, it is necessary to liberalize legislation, take into account criticism and suggestions from representatives of independent media. This opinion was expressed by media expert Seymur Kazimov in an interview with the "Difficult Question" program of the Turan agency.
He noted that the legislation on media is not in favor of the media, but on the contrary restricts their activities. The state policy in the field of media support is effective, he said.
Through the recently abolished State Mass Media Support Fund, 40 million manats were allocated to finance the media. However, this did not lead to any qualitative changes. For by distributing money it is impossible to improve the work of the media, to put the media on their feet.
The depressing situation in which the media finds itself is a systemic problem. Until criticism, proposals for the development of media are heard, the enlightenment of the population is increased, it will not be possible to develop media, the expert said. -05D06-
