1,600 People Got Jobs for One Month
As of May 1, 2016 the number of people employed in the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to 1 million 505.6 thousand people. Within one month the number of employees increased by 1,600. The growth mainly occurred in the private sector. The information was obtained by Turan in the State Statistical Committee.
At the beginning of May, 891,000 people worked in the public sector of the economy, and 610.6 thousand people worked in the private sector. Within a month public institutions received 400 people, and private businesses received 120 people.
Despite the increase, the number of people working with payment is lower than the number of people who worked before the second devaluation. In November last year the number of employees on salary was 1 million 054 700 people. From November last year to May the current number of employees in the public sector increased by 3.1 thousand. In the private sector the number decreased by 16.2 thousand. That is, after the dismissal from the private sector people joined the public sector. --08D--
