2.3 million tons of oil exported via western route during 10 months
From January to October 2013 SOCAR exported 2,322,232 tons of Azerbaijani oil from the Supsa port via the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline, reported SOCAR press office.
The volume of oil exported from the Georgian terminal decreased by 0.7% against the same period last year.
In January 2013 242,339 tons of Azerbaijani oil was shipped from Supsa, in February – 318,596 tons, in March – 238,266 tons, in April -242,367 tons, in May – 80,784 tons, in June – 242,325 tons, in July – 157,069 tons, in August – 315,388 tons, in September – 242,215 tons and in October – 242,259 tons,
The Baku-Supsa oil pipeline was put into operation on April 17, 1999. The oil pipeline’s length is 837 km and its diameter is 530 mm. At present the carrying capacity of the pipeline is over 5 million tons of oil a year and it is used to export oil from the Chirag field.—0—

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change has taken a significant step towards a unified global response to climate change. On the first day of discussions in Baku, participating countries reached a historic agreement on the rules governing the creation and trade of carbon credits. This decision paves the way for the launch of multibillion-dollar carbon credit markets, to be overseen by the United Nations, potentially as soon as next year.
