Total assets of Azerbaijani banks increased in August by 535.3 million or 3.6% to 15,513.9 mln. Since the beginning of the year the banking assets grew by 11.2% and for the year by 16.6%.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, credit investments on September 1 totaled 10,846.6 million, an increase in the reported period by 3.2%. Over the past year, lending to the economy grew by 16.7%.
Deposits in banks in August increased 37.4 million or 1.1% to 4,462.6 million manat. This indicator this year increased by 8.3%, and for 12 months - by 22%.
The aggregate capital of the banking sector increased in the reported period by 106.9 million or 5% amounting to 2,237.5 million manat. During the year the figure rose by 201.4 million or 9.9%. - 15B -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
