All power consumers in Azerbaijan to have new codes
Since yesterday Azeriishig – operator of the electric energy distribution in Azerbaijan – launched a new 15-digit code for its customers, Vugar Hashimov, chief of the company’s Electronic Services Department, said at a briefing at the Information Centre of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communication and High Technologies.
At present electric energy users in the country have individual 11-digit codes.
“We are going to fully replace 11-digit code by 15-digit code, which is now applied in Baku’s districts of Mekhdiabad, Baglar, Fatmai and Novkhany,” Hashimov said.
Introduction of 15-digit code has become possible after integration of the SQL data base used earlier by Azerenerji into ORACLE system. “Since June 9, 2015 we are going to apply the new system in Sumgait city. In the future all regions and districts of the country will be gradually integrated into a new system, “Hashimov said.
