Azerbaijan and Iran Encouraging Investors to Mutual Investments
On November 10, Baku hosted a conference on Investment Opportunities in Azerbaijan and Iran, which was attended by business representatives of the northern provinces of Iran.
According to the Foundation for Export Promotion and Investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO), the conference was attended by over 150 representatives of companies from the two countries in different spheres of business and investment organizations.
The Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Department of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI) Akbar Gahramani spoke about the favorable investment climate and business environment in the country.
During the conference information was presented about the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, and the Zanjan Investment Center.
Recall that an automotive plant is built in the industrial district of Neftchala and a pharmaceutical plant is built in the Pirallahi district with the participation of the Iranian capital.
During the first 9 months of 2016 the export of goods from Azerbaijan to Iran amounted to $ 34.9 million, an increase of 58%. Iran supplied goods three times as much to Azerbaijan in the period - $ 102.7 million (+ 59%). ----08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
