Azerbaijan Cancels National Standard and Accepts Interstate Standard for Bedclothes
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents (SCSMP) abolished the national standard AZS 085-2003 for specifications of bedclothes, using instead an interstate standard GOST 31307-2005 Lingerie. General specifications.
The press service of the department told Turan the canceled standard did not meet the requirements of the State Standard AZS 1.5-96, which is the basis of the state system of standardization.
The new standard will operate as long as a new national standard is adopted, they specified in the SCSMP.
During the 10 months of this year, Azerbaijan produced 339,600 square meters of cotton bed linen, which is 72% more than in the same period of 2013.
For three quarters of this year Azerbaijan imported 58.6 tons of linen made of various materials, including chemical composition. A ton of goods was declared at $ 12,389, which is 33.2% more than in 2013. --08B--.
