Azerkosmos Contract with Operator from UAE
JSC Azerkosmos signed a contract for deployment of telecommunications services in the regions of Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Its partner is the satellite operator of the United Arab Emirates, Network Satellite Technology Trading, says the information on the website of the state body.
It's about harnessing the resources of the national telecommunications satellite broadcasting Azerspace-1. Services and data (video, voice services, mobile services, etc.) will be provided on the platform iDirect. .
Recall Azerkosmos is the only satellite operator in the Caucasus and it provides resources to provide satellite telecommunications services and digital broadcasting networks VSAT.
The first national satellite Azerspace-1 was launched into orbit from 8 to 9 February 2013. It is located in a rented position of 46 degrees east longitude, broadcasting on part of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and the Caucasus. It is intended to provide services for digital broadcasting, Internet access, data transmission, creation of multiservice networks VSAT, as well as providing government communications. --17D-
