Calculated Unrecorded Imports and Exports of Goods
In September of this year, foreign trade turnover by individuals without any customs cargo declaration was $ 150,800,000, of which $ 122.3 million or 81.1% accounted for by imports. This was revealed by the State Statistics Committee for the first time in the last five years in a statistical survey of foreign relations of the country in the customs checkpoints.
In the department of trade of SSC they told Turan, the survey was conducted in order to better prepare the Central Bank balance of payments. In many cases, citizens supplied goods used for commercial purposes specified in the department. Under the law, when passing the customs border of the country, individuals have the right not to declare imported goods worth no more than $ 1,500.
In the course of statistical observations, it was found that Turkey had 30.7%, Russia - 26.8%, Georgia - 13.7%, Iran - 7.7%, China - 2.6%, Ukraine - 2% UAE - 1.8% of turnover of individuals.
By commodity "suitcase" imports amounted to:
- Fruit - $ 4,854,000;
- Confectionery - $ 3,781,000;
- Cigarettes - $ 2,877,000;
- Spirits - $ 2,628,000;
- Clothing - $ 18.3 million;
- Shoes - $ 5.5 million;
- Mobile phones - $ 10,279,700;
- Laptops and tablets - $ 8,163,800;
- DVD and TV - $ 7,168,600;
- Household appliances - $ 6.5 million;
- Car parts - $ 5,760,000;
- Rubber tires - $ 2.7 million;
- Cosmetics - $ 5,167,700;
- Kitchenware - $ 4.4 million;
- Camcorders - $ 5,370,000;
- Carpets - $ 3.9 million, etc.
About 60% of imports were carried out through the checkpoints located in Baku.
According to the observations of SSC, individuals mostly (62.2%) took food products out of the country.
In 2013, the State Customs Committee on imports of goods recorded a total of $ 10 712 500 000. CBA's balance of payments indicates the presence of imports of goods in the amount of $ 11 155 500 000. --08B--
