Commercial motor vehicles are issued 300 thousand distinguishing signs
Ministry of Transport released a report on the licensing system for the road transport in 2012.
Last year, passenger and cargo carriers received 299,271 distinguishing signs. These signs are valid for one month, and are a kind of a form of taxation for motor carriers. From the issue of the signs the state budget received 7.3 million manat.
For the freight and passenger carriages, in 2012 the physical and juridical persons were issued 565 special permits (licenses). These licenses were valid for 2219 vehicles. Last year 1203 new cars-taxi were put into operation in Baku, including brand TX4 - 1000. Income from licensing of motor transport were 86,1 thousand manat.
Transport Ministry also carries out pre-trip checkup of vehicles. It cost carriers 851 manat.
In 2012, were exchanged permits for international transport with 30 countries, according to the press service of the Ministry of Transport. Total of 46,850 permits were issued. Government revenue from the licensing system was 466.500 manat. 08D
