CSC selected electronics of British company PC Maritime
Caspian Shipping Company has preferred electronic navigational information systems of the British company PC Maritime. They have already reached an agreement to supply 13 systems ECDIS and the possibility of extension of the cooperation.
According to the news portal for international shipping (http://www.hellenicshippingnews.com/News.aspx?ElementId=8dfd0659-c234-4928-b96d-1f4b87bfff7c), these systems are, however, of the 7th version, reliable since the early 90-ies.
Navmaster BC offers a variety of equipment: thin lines of processors include solid-state hard drives and can be installed horizontally or vertically, with a widescreen monitor sizes from 19 to 24 inches.
Sample electronic display graphic information and data Navmaster has been approved by the Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration.
In addition to upgrading the onboard equipment, there will be training of staff in the places, with the participation of British experts.
Under the agreement, the equipment includes electronic circuits such as Jeppesen SENC and automatic devices. The company attaches to the electronic system displays of graphic information and data on the training sessions in DVD.
According to the website, Caspian Shipping Company is a company with its headquarters in Baku. Its mixed fleet of more than 80 vessels has a net capacity of 500,000 tons in deadweight and includes mainly tankers, cargo ships and auxiliary ships. Transportation of petroleum and petroleum products is the main activity.
The CSC ships work in the Caspian, Black, Mediterranean and Marmara Seas. The class allows its ships to transport cargo from the ports of the Baltic and the Black Sea and the Mediterranean basin through the Volga-Baltic and Volga-Don shipping channels.
