Europe sees Turkmenistan as a perspective gas supplier
Europe sees Turkmenistan as the perspective and reliable natural gas supplier, said Urban Rusnak, General Secretary of the Energy Charter, during the reception at Turkmenistan President Gurbangulu Berdymohammadov in Ashgabad, reported the Turkmenistan media.
“I support the energy policy pursued by the Turkmenistan President, the priority of which is diversification of the export routes of the Turkmen energy carriers to the world markets. European countries see Turkmenistan among the perspective and, what is especially important, reliable natural gas suppliers and ready to discuss the concrete directions of the mutually beneficial cooperation,” reads the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news service.
The statement reads that Turkmen President mentioned his country’s interest in intensification of the mutual energy dialogue.
It has been mentioned at the meeting that the reality dictates the necessity of establishing close partnership to ensure reliable protection of the international deliveries of energy carriers and growth of investments into development of local fuel-energy complex.
The Turkmen officials have offered to work out universal mechanisms within the UN framework, which would have ensured reliable and safe functioning of the international energy infrastructure, considering interests of the countries-makers, transit countries and the gas consumers.—0--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
