"Today, 300 thousand hectares have been harvested, including about a third of the acreage of wheat and barley and the average yield of more than 27 quintals per 1 ha," said the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture. The grain harvesting began from the southern regions of the country and will continue in stages with the transition to the north of the country. According to preliminary estimates, this year the volume of local grain was 2.4 million tons. According to various estimates, the annual grain consumption in Azerbaijan totals 3.8 - 4 million tons.
According to the State Customs Committee, in May, Azerbaijan imported wheat in the amount of only $ 10.3 million. During the first five months of this year, wheat was imported in the amount of $ 184,500,000, 49.1% more than in the same period in 2014. ------08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today.
