Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan for Participation of French Companies in TANAP
During the working visit to France, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met in Paris with members of the business in France - MEDEF. In his speech, Aliyev said that his previous meetings with businessmen - MEDEF members made an important contribution to the establishment of an effective partnership between Azerbaijan and France's leading companies in the economic sphere.
According to the official website of the President, Aliyev said that the leading French companies - Total and GDF-Suez are long-term partners of Azerbaijan.
Aliyev also emphasized the participation of Azerbaijan, together with partners, in projects to ensure energy security of Europe. Currently we are working on the implementation of a new pipeline that will export gas resources of Azerbaijan in various directions, Aliyev said.
He stressed that Azerbaijan supports the involvement of French companies in the project TANAP (Trans-Anatolian Pipeline), which will change the energy map of the region and Europe.
In addition to the energy sector, the sides promote bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport, health, tourism, information and communication technology, customs, and other areas.
