In Anticipation of First European Games Number of POS-terminals Grows
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), up to December 1, 2014, local banks established 2 586 ATMs (+ 6.8% YTD). Most equipment (1,400 units) was installed in the capital, the remaining 1,126 - in the province.
As for the POS-terminals, in January-November last year the number rose 2.06 times, reaching 68,676 units. Almost all of them (97.9%) or 67,227 units were purchased by retail outlets. More than half of them (47.25) are in Baku and the others are in major cities in the country, which are expected to conduct the first European Games - 2015. --17D-
