Azerbaijan has fully secured Internet freedom.
According to the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov at the board meeting for the year, during the Global Forum on Internet development by all parties to the results seen in the fact that in our country, the freedom of the Internet corresponds to the level of European countries.
Abbasov forgot to note that freedom of expression, including the Internet, is a complex concept. Institutions of civil society, not just in 2009-2012 marked police pressure on activists and bloggers, forums, indicating that the control of citizens.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
