Korea will help Azerbaijan to the expansion of the "electronic government"
The Korean government will help the development of "electronic government" of Azerbaijan.
Today signed a grant agreement between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea to establish a local training center. A document signed by the head of the Azerbaijani ministry, Ali Abbasov, on the other hand - South Korea's ambassador to Azerbaijan Choi Suk-Ying.
According to the agreement, in Baku and 15 regions (Ganja, Nakhchivan, Sumgait, Mingachevir, Barda, Lankaran, Gazakh, Zagatala, Imishli, Gabala, Geychaye, Shirvan, Shamakhi, Guba and Sheki) provides for the establishment of educational classes on e-government.
The Korean side will provide the centers with necessary equipment and establish a special educational information system. In the centers will be organized training courses to improve the skills of civil servants, in addition, there would be an opportunity for the provision of distance learning.
The project will support the passage of Azerbaijani specialists to courses in Korea for the organization of the training center and training materials.
Creation of a training center in Azerbaijan for e-government will gain new skills and knowledge of civil servants in the implementation of information and communication technologies (ICT). The center also will give impetus to the implementation of e-government ideas in governance and other spheres of public life, development of the information society, increasing the overall level of e-literacy, the growth of e-services. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
