Loan Portfolio of Banks and Micro-finance Organizations Dipped by 17.2%
BAKU / 19.09.16 / TURAN: The State Statistics Committee with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan reports that by August 1 the loan portfolio of banks and non-bank credit organizations amounted to 16 billion 713.3 million manats (minus 17.2% to the end of 8 months last year). Of these, 9%, or 1 billion 504.2 million refers to overdue and "hanging" loans.
Most (13 billion 156.1 million) of the aggregate portfolio refers to long-term loans.
The population's deposits in the country's banks in January-July were at a level of 7 billion 843.8 million AZN. The information does not specify the specific weight of the dollar, but the last year and a half, this figure has not fallen below 80%. --17D-
