Mandatory Health Insurance Starts from Mingechevir and Yevlakh
The introduction of mandatory health insurance (MHI) in Azerbaijan will start from the cities of Mingechevir and Yevlakh. The pilot project will be used at the end of 2016 - the beginning 2017.
According to the Director of the State Agency for MHI under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan, Zaur Aliyev, in H1 they already defined the main characteristics of the future model of this kind of insurance and prepared changes in the legislation, after which the preparation of medical institutions for the innovation will be completed.
Judging by the Director’s words, MHI will apply exemptions for the poor, including pensioners. --17D-
