Micro-credit Expanded at 5.5% in April
Total loan portfolio of microfinance in Azerbaijan increased in April this year at $ 46.22 million, or 5.5%, to $ 887.242 million for 488 thousand customers.
Since the beginning of the year the figure rose by 9.5% and for the year - by 27.5 percent. The share of risky loans, compared with the beginning of the year increased by 1 percentage point to 2%.
According to the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA), the largest creditor to its members remains of Accessbank, which accounted for 31.2% of all micro-credit.
Total registration was conducted on 33 microfinance institutions in the country. Their total assets are $ 4.33 billion. Among the microcredit borrowers 28% were women.

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars.
