Micro-credit expanded by a quarter for three quarters of 2013
Total loan portfolio of microfinance in Azerbaijan increased in September of this year at $ 18 million, or 1.8%, to $ 1,015 million for 538 thousand customers.
Since the beginning of the year the figure rose by $ 204 million or 25%, and for the year - by $ 257 ??million, or 33.9 percent. The share of risky loans, compared with the beginning of the year remained unchanged, amounting to 1%.
According to the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association (AMFA) , the largest creditor to its members remains Accessbank, which accounted for 31.4 % of all micro-credit .
Total consideration was based on the 31st microfinance institutions in the country. Their total assets amounted to $ 4.700 billion. Among the microcredit borrowers 28% were women.
