Minister of Communications: "The Digital Television by the End of the Year Will Be Available to All"
The digital television by the end of the year will be available throughout the territory of Azerbaijan. While this signal is available to 93.8 % of the population.
This statement was made in an interview to the party " Yeni Azerbaijan " Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov (http://www.yeniazerbaycan.com/Musahibe_e12425_az.html).

The minister said that in the last 10 years the average annual growth of the ICT sector amounts to 20-25 %, and the share in GDP exceeded $ 2 billion investment in total investment of about $ 2.5 billion
The minister said that Azerbaijan - the first country in the CIS territory which in 2008 was fully installed telephones, and in 2010 the public telephone network of the republic has been translated into an electronic format. About 40% of the country's telecommunication nodes is translated into a network NGN (Next Generation Network). Over the past 10 years, the level of penetration of fixed telephony in the population has increased from 11.5 to 18.6 percent.
Seven-fold increase was recorded in the database of mobile operators that exceeded 10.1 million subscribers ( up to 600 thousand more of the population ) .
Regarding the development of broadband Internet Abbasov said that its implementation in 2013-2015 will be spent 433 million manats. The project will be implemented on a "Fiber To The Building" and will cover all the settlements of the republic. - 17D-
