Ministry of Economy intends to reduce the time for obtaining licenses for doing business
The Committee for Economic Policy, Enterprise and Industry of the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan considers the government's initiative to reduce the deadlines for obtaining licenses for doing business. At a meeting of the committee Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy, said that the government agencies, according to the draft law "On licensing and permits", in case of adoption, will be required to provide during five days methodological assistance to entrepreneurs in obtaining licenses. "It is necessary to ensure that businesses do not spend extra money and could be sure in advance that they are ready to get a license, including in electronic form. In addition, if, during the provided term the public authority does not respond to a request to the application for a license, it will be considered valid," he said. Moreover, the issued license will be automatically entered in a single electronic register through which any body can check the availability of the license of the entrepreneur. And yet, in the case of the adoption of the law will be simplified extradition procedures, as well as a principle of "single window" when issuing the licenses will be introduced. The bill also provides for reduction of the period of issue of licenses from 15 to 10 days, and permits - up to 7 days.
