New Requirements of Law "On Securities Market"
New requirements of the law "On securities market" approved by the President on July 14 have come into force. According to them, before being transferred to the book-entry form handling a large packet of documentary securities is suspended, the State Securities Committee (SSC) stated.
The decision applies to shares and bonds of the following issuers:
* Muganbank;
* Wembley Developments (Azerbaijan);
* Bank BTBi;
* International Bank of Azerbaijan;
* Bashak-InamS?gorta;
* Capital Bank;
* Credo Bank;
* Access Bank;
* AzEl;
* AgroFina;
* Lukoil-Azerbaijan;
* Londongate (Azerbaijan) Insurance Co;
* Torgovyy Dom Ural;
* Consulting Service;
* Debut;
* Alkaros Motors AB;
* Amrah Sigorta.
SSC made this decision in connection with the ban contained in the Law on the documentary form of issuance and circulation of investment shares and bonds. According to the document, from January 1, 2016 all the securities are to be converted into book-entry form. --17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
