Official Unemployment in Azerbaijan 5,642 People More
As of 1 July the employment service in the cities and regions of the country granted the status of unemployed to 34 519 persons, of which 37.8% are women. For a month the status of unemployed was received by 478 people, according to the State Statistics Committee.
Compared with the beginning of this year, unemployment in Azerbaijan was 5,642 persons more, which is associated with the closure of jobs in private enterprises.
The share of Baku accounts for 15,232 registered unemployed persons who are actively seeking a new job. If you trust the statistics, then in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic there is no unemployed. In any case, no one has the status of the unemployed there, either at the beginning of the year, or today, though the employment management in the NAR has employment centers in the city of Nakhchivan and 7 in all the administrative districts of autonomy.
Unemployment benefits in Azerbaijan at the beginning of July this year was received by 9,096 people. At the beginning of this year, there were only 1,543 people. The average size of the benefit, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population, is 248.1 AZN.
According to SSC, on 1 July 2016 on the methodology of the International Labor Organization, 245.2 thousand people were considered unemployed, with the number of economically active population at the level of 4 million 953.1 thousand, 37.8 thousand more than in the beginning of the year.
