Oil storage put into operation on west of Turkmenistan
The enterprise for reception, storage and shipment of oil products was put into operation in Serdar region, Balkan province of Turkmenistan, reported the Turkmenistan Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources.
According to the same source, the products, including gasoline, diesel fuel and lubricating oils, will be transported from the biggest oil refinery in the country in Turkmenbashi city by railway.
The same source reported that construction of this enterprise in Serdar region is of great importance for development of industrial and agrarian sectors of the region. The railway and highway pass through this region.
At present Turkmenistan makes about 10 million tons of oil a year, significant part of which is used for refining at the local oil refineries.
Turkmenistan has two oil refineries in Seidi and Turkmenbashi, which is the biggest one in the country.—0—
