Pirated Software to Work Prior to November 1, 2017
The Azerbaijan State Agency for Copyright believes that the suspension of 2-year inspections of businesses also touches inspections in order to identify the facts of using counterfeit software.
The reason is that under the relevant law in effect from November 1, exceptions are checking on the basis of the facts of threats to human life and health, national security and economic interests.
The agency is working closely with Microsoft on the issue of the protection of intellectual property rights, holding regular meetings with the leadership of this company. The world's giant largely assists the agency for the legalization of the software used in universities, banks and other structures of the country.
Earlier, both sides declared the beginning of anti-piracy raids in January next year, and trainings were arranged for the employees of the Interior Ministry of Azerbaijan, whose participation in the operations is envisaged. This will help them identify counterfeit and unlicensed software. --- 17D-
