Public transportation in Baku passes to fare card system
Intelligent Transport Control Center (ITCC) is going to introduce a system of debit cards payments for public transport in Baku in May. The system has been successfully is tested in May 2012, said the technical director of the Ibrahim Aliyev at a press conference on the plans for this year.
It is planned to use common payment cards, which can pay paid for travel, as in bus transport and metro. For the convenience of citizens and foreigners will be used payment cards "Master Card". The cards will be tucked into the banks, data terminals (there are 560 such terminals) and kiosks. Although it is unlikely, but according to the general director Elnur Abdullayev, payment cards will be distributed to the public free of charge.
