Silk Way Travel Separated from Silk Way Airlines
Silk Way Travel, the largest travel agency in Azerbaijan became an independent legal entity. Prior to that, this travel agency acted as a branch of the airline Silk Way Airlines.
Silk Way Travel has operated since 2008 and is the exclusive agent of the national carrier of Azerbaijan CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines. The company has agency agreements with all airlines flying to Azerbaijan and holds a leading position in the sphere of air transport sales.
The travel agency has a network of representative offices and sales outlets both in Azerbaijan and in other countries (Russia, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, and Turkey).
Every year, Silk Way Travel organizes trips abroad for 10-15 thousand Azerbaijani tourists.

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
