St. Petersburg Branch of IBA-Moscow Increased 35%
Assets of the St. Petersburg branch of the Bank IBA-Moscow at the end of the first half of 2012 amounted to 3 036.3 million, an increase compared to the same period in 2011 by 779.8 million rubles or 34.6%, according to the press service of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA).
By the end of the first half of 2012, the loan portfolio amounted to 2,394.6 million. In relation to the same index in 2011 the growth rate was 40.7% or 693.1 million.
The deposit portfolio of individuals for the year grew by 46.6% and reached 555.5 million in early July 2012.
Today, the branch serves 835 active corporate clients, 38% or 230 more than the same period last year.
For the first half the branch made about 8,800 transfers without opening an account in the equivalent of U.S. $ 10.1 million, and paid about $1.5 million in 1,200 transfers.
During the reported period, the branch of the bank issued 1,076 cards. The turnover of trade acquiring totaled 126.5 million rubles, the turnover for cash withdrawal at ATMs and POS-terminals was $125.5 million and $ 1.3 million.
By the end of the 1st half of 2012 the branch established 16 ATMs and 123 POS-terminals in shops.
The opening of the first branch of IBA-Moscow to St. Petersburg was held in 2003. Now the branch has a main office, located in the historic center of the city and three additional offices throughout the city, and plans to open before the end of year 2 more offices for the geographic expansion of service and to optimize the customer base. -15D -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
