Subsidies to Producers of Wheat and Rice Decreased by 3 Million Manat
At a March 16 meeting of the Republican Committee chaired by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilham Guliyev, it was decided to allocate 17 million 51 thousand AZN as subsidies to 129 thousand producers of wheat and rice.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the local commissions provided data on sowing wheat and rice at 416.3 thousand ha (as of 1 December 2014). The subsidy is 40 manat per hectare. The total amount of subsidies decreased at about 3.1 million manat. This year, the number of recipients of state aid has decreased by 20.7 thousand subjects.
Note that in addition to this, the producers of wheat and rice, as well as other farmers will receive an additional 40 manat as subsidies for the rising cost of fuel and lubricants in 2007.
Subsidies are provided by plastic cards of Capital Bank. The list of natural and legal persons, recipients of agricultural subsidies on 58 regions of the country, has been posted on the Ministry of Agriculture website (www.agr.gov.az). --08B

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
