The Ministry of Agriculture Summarized Complaints and Suggestions of Farmers
As a result of several meetings of the Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abbasov with residents of regions this office compiled complaints and suggestions received from the farmers.
The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture told Turan the farmers complain of problems with getting soft loans from the National Fund for Entrepreneurship. In addition, they advocate the simplification of government credit granted the agricultural sector and the extension of loan maturities. Farmers feel the need to create a specialized state agricultural bank. It should be noted that the government several years now tightens the creation of such a bank on the basis of the non-bank credit organization Agrarkredit.
Farmers also raise the issue of simplifying the mechanism for issuing subsidies for the cultivation of the land in the form of a union (today subsidies are given before and after harvest), and the provision of subsidies for obtaining progeny of artificial insemination of cattle. Farmers consider important and reduce the cost of mineral fertilizers by 30%, which are already sold them at 50% of the cost. Moreover, they insist that the fertilizer should be provided directly by companies implementing them in the fields. Not satisfied with the condition of farmers and payment in advance 10% of the cost of the acquisition of agricultural machinery leased from the state-run Agroleasing.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, there are proposals for specific sectors and agriculture, which, in the opinion of farmers, particularly in need of government support. - 08D -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
