The number of employees increased by 6.5%
The State Committee of Statistics released data on the number of employees in the country at the beginning of 2013, according to which it rose over the year by 90,200 people, or 6.5%.
According to official data, the number of employees amounts to 1,477,700 people. Of these, 899,100 people or 60.8% are employed in the public sector. During the year the number of persons placed in employment in public institutions and enterprises increased by 46 200 (5.4%). The remaining 578,600 people work in the private and public sectors.
Note that according to the State Statistics Committee, in 2005 the number of employees in Azerbaijan grew by only 180,600 people, while government sources say 220,000 individual contracts were signed between employers and employees.
Proportion of workers in the structure of education of employees is 22,7,6%, health and social services - 8.8%, trade and repair of motor vehicles - 18.7%, industry - 12.7%, construction - 7.5% , agriculture - 2.9%, transport and warehousing - 4.8%, etc.- 08D-
