Today SOCAR signed two documents with the gas companies of Bulgaria
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) signed on September 22, two documents with the gas companies of Bulgaria, the press service of SOCAR.
Between SOCAR and Bulgartransgaz company there was signed a memorandum of understanding. The document was signed by Rovnag Abdullayev and CEO Bulgartransgaz, Cyril Temelkov.
SOCAR has also signed a protocol of intent with Bulgargaz. The document was signed by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev and the head of the Board of Directors Bulgargaz Boto Velinov.
It should be noted that on September 20, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of Baku "Southern Gas Corridor" in Baku, Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev said that "official Sofia interested in speeding up the construction of gas interconnections in Turkey and Greece."
Earlier Bulgarian media reported that Bulgaria plans in 2016 to begin the purchase of Azerbaijani gas in the amount of 200-300 million cubic meters per year. It is expected that this fall will take a final investment decision on the construction between Greece and Bulgaria gas jumper, which should be ready by 2016.
