Turkmenistan authorities informed publicity about misappropriation of free gasoline by some citizens
Control over gasoline distribution is toughened in Turkmenistan and Interior Ministry of the country continues investigation, reported Turkmen Dovlet Habarlari (Turkmenistan State News).
It reported that the “country is very rich in natural resources and its citizens enjoy the privileges that citizens of other countries do not have.”
The Turkmen citizens are supplied with free water, gas, power and gasoline.
“However, despite that some greedy people want to abuse the privileges granted by the government to the population,” reads the statement.
Turkmenistan’s authorized banks issue the population the coupons for gasoline and diesel fuel once in six months. All Turkmenistan citizens can receive coupons for free720 liters of A-95 gasoline for 6 months (120 liters per month) per one car.
However, “some people buy and register dozens of cars for the names of their relatives using them to get free gasoline from the state.”
The statement further reads that “using free automobile fuel to make profit, these people try to avoid taxes and they must be punished for that.”
The statement reads that “Mominjan Nutardinov, resident of Turkmenabat city, Lebap province, is among those people. He registered his own cars for the names of his relatives and during 2013 he received a total of 5760 liters of free gasoline. Babamyrat Jumayev, another resident of Turkmenabat city in Lebap province has registered his five cars for the names of his relatives. During 2013 he received a total of 8640 liters of free gasoline and offered his cars for rent.”
