Turnover of corporate securities market increased by 22%
Baku/17.12.13/Turan : Within 11 months of this year, the turnover of corporate securities in Azerbaijan amounted to 1 412.7 million manat, which is 22 % more than for the same period in 2012 . The activity of transactions ( 4249 ) increased by 3.4% , the State Committee for Securities told Turan.
The share of stocks in the corporate segment of the market was from the beginning of the year 37.2% ( 526.3 million manat). Compared with 11 months of last year, the market share increased by 12% . This did not prevent the decline in IPO at 3% ( AZN 11 million ) . The volume of secondary market shares amounted to 139.5 million manat, which is 67.4 million manat more than in the comparable period in 2012.
According to BSE , in the 11 months of this year traded shares were total contract value of 16 747.1 thousand manats. Thus, the major part of the turnover of shares ( 122.8 million manat) occurs outside the stock exchange , on which information is hidden .
This year, due to an increase in IPO in Azerbaijani manats ( 4.7 times) and secondary turnover ( 71 %) the market for corporate bonds amounted to 886.5 million manat. This is 29% more than in January - November 2012 . Since the beginning of the year was taken into U.S. dollars worth of bonds in excess of 67 million, 77% less than the same period last year.
Total based on government securities ( Treasury bonds and notes of the Central Bank ), securities turnover in Azerbaijan since the beginning of the year fell 18 % to $ 7,378 bn. - 08D-
