World Bank to Allocate $ 50 Million for IDPs
The World Bank (WB) has approved additional funding for IDPs.
According to the information on the official website of WB, the allocation of funds will come into force on December 20 this year, and the development is valid until the end of 2020.
The total amount of funding is $ 66.7 million, of which $ 50 million is the World Bank share, and the rest is from the Government of Azerbaijan.
As planned by the Bank, the allocated funds will help improve the lives of immigrants (approximately 7% of the population), the improvement of their living conditions and normal employment.
Specifically, the money will be allocated for improvement of water supply and electricity, communications, drainage systems, schools and health centers, as well as for training of entrepreneurial skills at young people. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
