The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is fraught with serious destabilization - CSTO Secretary General
Baku / 31.03.23 / Turan: The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and Afghanistan remains tense, creates risks of destabilization in the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, said CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
"Tension persists in the Caucasus region as a result of many years of contradictions between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Tasmagambetov said at an expanded meeting of the leadership of the CSTO secretariat and the joint headquarters on Friday.
According to him, due to the risks associated with the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the situation is fraught with serious destabilization.
