A.Mischenko: No Yanukovych in Azerbaijan
No matter who is in power in Ukraine, relations with Azerbaijan will always be a priority. This opinion was expressed by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Alexander Mishchenko, at today's press conference when asked about the future of bilateral relations in connection with the change of power in Kiev.
Relations with Azerbaijan have always been smooth and friendly since the days of the Soviet Union. No political force in Kiev is against Azerbaijan, said Mishchenko, and he stressed that during the escalation of the situation in Ukraine, official Baku held a balanced position, believing that the Ukrainian people will sort out the situation.
Asked to comment on reports of the visit of Viktor Yanukovych to Azerbaijan, the ambassador said that they are unfounded, noting he had not heard of such information from the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine.
"I have not heard about it. These signals are not received," said the Ambassador.
He added that Yanukovych was declared internationally wanted, and in this direction, related work is carried out. -06D -
