Armenian Foreign Minister tries to distort the situation with the road to Nakhchivan
Baku/18.10.22/Turan: All roads in the region must operate under the sovereignty of those countries through whose territory they pass and will pass, the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated at a joint press conference with the Norwegian Foreign Minister on Tuesday.
“According to my subjective assessment, there is some progress in this regard, and there is optimism that negotiations in this direction can be completed successfully in the coming time,” Armenian media quoted Mirzoyan as saying. He stated that during the negotiations, Azerbaijan does not demand that.
The road between mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan will have the same status as the Lachin corridor. In doing so, he referred to the tripartite statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021.
It seems that Mirzoyan does not read the news or is not informed about the statements of the Azerbaijani side. It seems that at the meeting in Prague he slept at all or he had hearing problems, because there Ilham Aliyev once again reminded that the road to Nakhchivan would have the same status as the Lachin road. If the Armenians do not want this, then Azerbaijani border and customs posts will be on the Lachin road.
The head of Azerbaijan has already made similar statements several times. --02D--
