Armenians Still Remaining in Nagorno-Karabakh in Despondency, Fear, Despair
Baku / 16.10.20 / Turan: Fear, despondency and hopelessness reign among the population still remaining in Nagorno-Karabakh. Despite the fact that shelling has decreased, residents are afraid to leave the basement bomb shelters. This is evidenced by the photo and video reports published by various media, including the Caucasian Knot publication from Khankendi and Khojavend.
These cities have power and gas interruptions and residents are forced to cook with wood. The bomb shelters are crowded.

In another article by the Caucasian Knot one of the residents confirmed that the night in Khankendi (Stepanakert) passed calmly, but people prefer to stay in shelters. In the morning, people left the shelters only to get bread and other food, which were distributed free of charge. "Everyone returned to the shelter because we believe that it is still unsafe to be on the street or at home," said Emma Sahakyan.
