Azerbaijan"s Supreme Court rejects the appeal of Rustam Ibrahimbayov (UPDATED)
On September 6 the Supreme Court (SC) of Azerbaijan dismissed the claim of Rustam Ibrahimbayov, the head of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) about the CEC's refusal to approve his as presidential candidate, Turan was told by Ibrahimbayov’s lawyer, Fuad Agayev.
He said that due to such decision a complaint will be sent to the UN Committee for human rights against the violation by the Azerbaijani authorities the electoral rights of citizens to participate in the elections, and removal from the participation in the election one of the real opponents from power.—06B--

On Friday at 15.00 the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan will consider the appeal from the head of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Rustam Ibrahimbekov on CEC's refusal to approve him as presidential candidate.
According to the lawyer Fuad Agayev, if Ibrahimbekov’s complaint is not met, a new complaint will be filed to the UN Committee on Human Rights. -03B06 –

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years.
