European Court will consider three complaints from Azerbaijan on Parliamentary Elections 2010

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has started communication with the Government of Azerbaijan on three complaints in connection with the parliamentary elections in 2010, including  the case of candidates on 79-in Imishli District, Tariel Shirinli (independent candidate); 11th  Garadag District Beybala Abil oglu  (Party of the "Classic" People's Front),  and  the 43 th Third Sumgayit District -  Ahmadzade Ibrahim (independent candidate.)  The complaints  of Ahmadzade  and Shirinli relate to the refusal to register the candidate, and Abilov’s - on cancellation of the registered candidates.

The ECHR suggested that the Government of Azerbaijan to answer these questions until 18 December,  Turan was told by a source in the Strasbourg court.

It should be noted that the interests of these persons in the ECHR represented the head of the Legal Education Society Intigam Aliyev, who was arrested on 8 August.

During a search in his office were confiscated all materials related to the  more than 100 cases in the ECHR, including 40 in connection with the parliamentary elections.

Aliyev has already informed the ECHR, that the removal of material can cause problems for communication in these cases. He called on  the ECHR  to put an end to the illegal actions of a government that prevents consideration of citizens in the Strasbourg court.

Aliyev denies the charges against him in the illegal business, tax evasion and abuse of office.

"Amnesty International" recognized him as a prisoner of conscience. -16D06-
