George Clooney supports Evromaydan
On December 9, George Clooney, the famous Hollywood actor, a friend of Vitali and Vladimir Klitschko, expressed support for Evromaydan and all Ukrainians, who are fighting for their rights and democratic values in the country. He said about it in a video addressed to Ukrainians posted on the website of the party "UDAR."
"I appeal to you, brave Ukrainians, fighters for the future, not for the past! We Americans are like you in the pursuit of democracy. Through trial and error, we have learned that true democracy can not exist without free, fair and transparent elections," said George Clooney.
According to him, there can not be democracy if there are political prisoners in the country.
"Similarly, there is no democracy when there are political prisoners, in particular, such as Tymoshenko. So I want to tell you all the Maydan in Kiev and throughout the Ukraine: when you look at the West, know that we will respond to you with a look full of great admiration. We wish you the power that you want. And we wish you the strength to fight for it," said Clooney.-02D-
