Ilham Aliyev Expects Constructive Position from Armenia's New Government
Baku / 10.07.18 / Turan: Baku will continue the policy of isolating Armenia until this country withdraws its troops from the occupied Azerbaijani territories. This was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at the meeting of the Azerbaijani government the day before.
The policy of isolation led to the economic collapse of Armenia and the military defeat in April 2016 and the logical outcome of this process was the overthrow of the Sargsyan regime.
Aliyev expressed hope that the new government of Armenia will not repeat the mistakes of the criminal regime and will take a constructive position in the issue of the conflict settlement.
"As for the settlement of the conflict, there is only one way: the occupation forces must be withdrawn from the occupied lands, the territorial integrity of our country must be restored, and the four resolutions of the UN Security Council must be implemented. These resolutions are in force. If anyone has forgotten, I can remind you that they openly say the Armenian armed forces must immediately and unconditionally withdraw from the occupied lands. These resolutions are in force and will remain in force. Therefore, the settlement of the conflict depends on the implementation of these resolutions, and Azerbaijan, of course, will pursue its principled policy," Aliyev said. --0--
