The Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety sent a message to the French President on the eve of his meeting with the President of Azerbaijan. The appeal expresses a request to raise the issue of human rights violations in Azerbaijan and, in particular, the arrest and sentence to blogger Mehman Huseynov, as well as the issue of 150 political prisoners in Azerbaijan, before Ilham Aliyev. Ilham Aliyev, who is visiting Paris, will be received by the French President on March 14. -16D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
