ITV does not allow even paid airtime for Jamil Hasanli
The ITV Public Television rejected the request of the authorized representatives of Jamila Hasanli, the presidential candidate of the National Council of Democratic Forces, for paid air time for campaigning. The management of the ITV explained its refusal of the term of applications , referring to the Articles 80.4 and 81.4 of the Electoral Code , according to the press service of Hasanli.
The leadership of ITV stated the application about the paid campaign had to be filed during a week after the start of the campaign. However, the management of the ITV wrongly interpreted the Articles of the Executive Committee, believes Hasanli’s representative, Elman Fattah.
Hasanli and NCJA intend to take adequate steps in connection with the refusal of the ITV management to provide paid air time.-06D-
